Today I woke up feeling really friggen good. I’ve had a bit of a rough patch that I’m working through lately and today I was super mindful with how I was feeling and totally ran with it. I did my second hot yoga class at the Moksha Yoga studio on St. Clair West yesterday and I have to admit, it’s REALLY hot in the room that I go to and sometimes it makes me want to quit… but I can’t get over how good and flushed and stretched out I feel when I’m done a class. Yesterday was the first time the instructor helped push me harder, we were doing hip openers…. I believe the pose was… pigeon? One sec – I’m googling it…. (more…)

Yes, you did read that correctly. Today I wore a crop top – in public.

I know.. it’s mildly terrifying, but I did it. I love the look on women, high-waisted workout tights with a cute sports bra or workout crop tank top to go with it, but I personally haven’t had the balls to pull off such a look, until now. I remember going into my first RPM class last year in February and since then RPM has been a consistent part of my schedule. A Goal Achieved, A New Goal Set.

Well, it’s official. I’m a certified Les Mills RPM Instructor! HAZA!!!!! That was my biggest goal of 2017 and I did it!!! I got the news Friday morning so yay!!! In a couple of weeks I’ll officially be hired, and I’ll be able to learn all new songs and choreography and I’ll get my VERY OWN CLASS!! Isn’t that so exciting?? I have sooooo much work to do in terms of becoming a better instructor and bringing the “fitness magic” to my class. I have a lot of attending, observing, and learning to do on my own in order to find “my style” of teaching. Isn’t that so exciting!? (more…)
