I’ve never been one to have a huge group of friends really. I had different best friends throughout elementary school, but I wouldn’t necessarily say I had a big group of friends. I had my handful of people and that was all. Same when I got to high school. Our group consisted of about 5-6 girls, but by the end of high school most had moved away and I just kept to myself until I was finished. (more…)
I teach RPM twice on Wednesdays. At noon at the GoodLife Fitness at 137 Yonge, and at 5:30 pm at the GoodLife Fitness at Scotia Plaza (YAY shameless plug – come to my class!) and normally on Wednesdays, I’m pretty tired. I can ride two RPM classes just fine, I can even teach one and ride one, or ride two back-to-back, but teaching two is hard. I’m still getting used to it. (more…)
Ok, so last night I slept 11 hours straight – this is not an exaggeration. With a lifestyle like mine, it catches up with me and then BAM I sleep for like a day. I can’t tell you how much more rested I feel today – but that also got me thinking…. Probably a lot of the reason why I find myself tired a lot is the fact that I don’t keep properly hydrated. I know.. it’s mildly terrifying, but I did it. I love the look on women, high-waisted workout tights with a cute sports bra or workout crop tank top to go with it, but I personally haven’t had the balls to pull off such a look, until now. I’ve never really been into yoga… I’ve always preferred higher intensity type exercise (ie. Running, spinning, etc). With all of the spinning I’ve been doing lately, I decided to give hot yoga a try to stretch everything out and just get rid of some of the tension and stress I have built up in my body. (more…)
I’ve been working out regularly, again, for upwards of about a year and 3 months. I remember going into my first RPM class last year in February and since then RPM has been a consistent part of my schedule. It wasn’t until recently when I first decided to dive into this whole training/instructing thing that I started getting into it even more and it becoming a huge part of my life. (more…)
I kind of get overly cocky at the fact that I honestly never get sick, it’s a verrrrry rare occurrence. However, the karma god’s have shown me otherwise and today when I woke up from a sweet slumber (much too early, I may add – work starts at 7am today), I had a swollen throat, a runny nose and it felt like I had zero sleep when I had like, 6.5ish hours. Even as I write this I feel like I could fall asleep at any given moment, so bare with me and any spelling/grammatical errors that may come flying at you. (more…)
